At LexiTab, we take your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we handle your data when you install and use the LexiTab Chrome extension.
📖 2. Data Collection & Local Storage
LexiTab does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.
All vocabulary words, definitions, and learning progress are stored locally in your
browser's IndexedDB. We do not have access to this data.
Your theme preference and reminder settings are stored using
chrome.storage.sync, which is encrypted by Google and tied directly to
your logged-in Chrome profile.
🔗 3. Third-Party APIs
When you save a word, the extension sends a request to the Free Dictionary API
(api.dictionaryapi.dev) to fetch the English definition, phonetics, and
audio.
To provide Vietnamese translations, we send requests to the MyMemory API
(api.mymemory.translated.net). These services may log requests. We do
not control their data handling. Please refer to their respective privacy policies.
🔒 4. Data Security
Because data never leaves the browser, there is no risk of data breaches on our servers.
🛡️ 5. User Rights & Data Control
You can delete all your data at any time via the 'Reset All Data' button in the extension dashboard, or by clearing your browser data.
